illogical social hierarchies
Homeless (often disabled) men that sell $1 newspapers in order to be a productive part of Columbus will happily shake your hand, show their credentials and explain their program. They are almost categorically ignored by Ohio State students zooming by with 800% overpriced sandwiches and expresso drinks.
Another man sitting on the curb with sign that says “Why lie? I need beer money” is clapped on the back and given $5 by a student in a suit who says “Yeah we all do, man! Drink up my (n-word)!”
Ohhh NO. No. No.
Whoops that was audible. People are looking. I didn’t snap my fingers, did I? They kind of tingle. Better zoom away.
