“Slutwalks”- what?
People marching against blame-shifting sexual assault to victims who supposedly “ask for it” by being overly attractive or provocative is an admirable activity. No one ever tries to get raped and no one ever deserves to be demeaned, regardless of how much sexual desire they elicit in another person’s body.
People realizing these marches by means of wearing next-to-nothing and trying to take negativity away from the term “slut” by making posters to label themselves as sluts first… eh…
This kind of reminds me of burning bras. It’s cool to empower yourself by bouncing around in freedom and I will not deny you that, but really, is everyone going to respect your inner spirit more? Or are they mostly going to stare at your nipples? Nipples, girlfriend, nipples.
